Eintracht Frankfurt coach Niko Kovac has confirmed that Kevin Prince Boateng will not be involved in their Saturday’s Bundesliga clash against Bayern Munich.
Boateng suffered an injury last week during the Eagles 1-0 win over Schalke 04 in the German Cup.
The 31-year-old consequently missed last weekend’s league match against Hertha Berlin, and is well confirmed to sit out another game.
“Prince won’t be available on Saturday,” Frankfurt manager Niko Kovac said in his club’s fitness update, as reported by their official website.
“He’s still struggling badly with the bruised thigh he picked up against Schalke.”
“Johnny de Guzman is out with a muscle strain, Danny Blum is ill and Makoto Hasebe is suspended.”
“Carlos Salcedo is back training with the team but Saturday’s game comes too early for him.”
“The same goes for Ante Rebic, who is making good progress.”
Boateng, who joined Frankfurt last summer, has so far made 29 league appearances involving 25 starts and six goals for Kovac’s outfit.
