North African giants Egypt are still reaping the dividends of their memorable 2-0 victory over Ghana in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier a fortnight ago.
The Pharaohs have moved 10 places on the ranking following the hard-fought win in Alexandria.
Egypt have moved to 36th place from 46th spot in the previous ranking.
Ghana have slumped to 53rd from 45th place from the last month rankings.
The Pharaohs played their second big game in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Ghana, beating the Black Stars 2-0 in Alexandria’s Borg El-Arab Stadium after defeating Congo 2-1 at Brazzaville.
Egypt are fourth on the African ranking and is second among Arab countries after Tunisia (34), while Algeria dropped three places in November’s ranking after losing 3-1 to Nigeria in the World Cup qualifiers.
