Head coach of Dreams FC Abdul Karim Zito was impressed with the performance of Hearts of Oak during their 1-1 stalemate in a pre-season friendly encounter on Sunday.
The Ghana Premier League returnees welcomed the Phobians to the Dawu Park, as they continued with preparations ahead of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The game ended one all, after veteran marksman Eric Gawu leveled for the Dawu based club, following Samudeen Ibrahim’s opener in the 15th minute.
In the aftermath of the match, Coach Zito who led the Still Believe lads to defeat Hearts of Oak 2-1 in the GHALCA G-8 finals two months ago was astonished by the display their opponents put up, which he believed was far better than their previous meeting in the curtain raiser competition.
“It was a good game, we have done very well, Hearts is a changed team compared to the G8 team we played,” says Zito.
“So far so good, it was a good test for the boys.”
Coach Zito, who is keen to finish in a top four place in the forthcoming season, admitted his opponents on Sunday were really poor in the G8, despite making it to the final.
“I was speaking to their Coach and he told me they are very fit for the game on the touchline, he said we will see a different Hearts and tactically we were countering each other with our style of play,” he said.
“So far so good, Hearts is in top form but before the G8 and it not good,” he concluded.
The Phobians had earlier played a pulsating 1-1 draw with Amrahia-based second-tier side Vision FC on Saturday.
