The Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko Dr Kwame Kyei has called on Ghanaians to rally behind his outfit and Aduana Stars ahead of their respective African campaign.
Both Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko will be representing Ghana in this year’s CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup respectively.
The Fire Boys will engage Libyan side Al Tahaddy in the the preliminary stage of the competition while the Porcupine Warriors will host Congolese outfit CARA Brazzaville at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
Dr. Kyei, who paid a visit to the playing body of the MTN FA Cup holders on Wednesday ahead of the crunch clash, implored Ghanaians to get behind the two clubs to make a meaningful mark in the competition.
“We pay for Aduana to come home with victory against Al Tahaddy,” he said. “As we pray for Kotoko we also have to remember Aduana in our prayers, so we can put Ghana on the map” he added.
The astute football administrator also called on the fans to troop to the stadium in numbers on Sunday.
“I am calling on the fans to troop to the stadium in numbers, because when victory comes, the success is for us as Ghanaian and I know we will victorious on Sunday,” he said.
