Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu is anticipating a tough game against DR Congo in the quarterfinal of the Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars set a clash with DR Congo at the next round of the competition after finishing second in Group D.
Ghana suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Egypt in an enthralling final group game at the Stade Port Gentil on Wednesday.
Badu who was handed his first start in the competition against Egypt is expecting a tough fixture with a strong Congolese side who finished top in Group C.
“We wanted to finish top and stay in Port Gentil, now we are going to face DR Congo in the next game and is not going to be easy,” he told the pressmen.
“It will be a tough game, Congo is a strong team, they finished top in their Group. But we are looking forward to the game. We hope to improve on our performance and win the game.
“We will make sure we give our best to get the result we want.”
The Black Stars will take on Congo in the third quarterfinal game as they seek a chance to get their hands on the trophy for the first time in more than three decades.
