Former Ghana Football Association chairman Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has warned against the re-appointment of Kwesi Appiah as the next Black Stars coach.
According to reports in the local media say Appiah is the frontrunner to replace Israeli Avram Grant who left after the expiration of his contract in February.
Appiah nows handles Sudanese top-flight side Al Khartoum SC and was voted as the best coach in the country.
But Dr. Tamakloe is not impressed with the ex-Ghana captain and doubts if he has the credentials to improve the fortunes of the Black Stars in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
”Appiah was a complete failure when he took over the Black Stars and he was sacked for non-performance so what has changed that he wants to come back”?,” the astute administrator told the Graphic Sports.
”He lacked the ability to read through games and design proper strategies to counter his opponents during matches.
”Appiah was unable to control his players to the extent that they disregarded his instructions with impunity.”
The Ghana FA six-man search committee will start interviewing the shortlisted coaches this week.
