Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe defeated Julian Evaristo Aristule of Argentina at Vector Arena in New Zealand to become the new WBO International super bantamweight and WBO Latino super bantamweight champion.
The undefeated Ghanaian Boxer (with a career record of 16-0, 10 Kos) technically knocked out his opponent in the seventh round.
Dogboe came into the fight very heated and ready to explode his punches, but Aristule gave Dogboe some tough smashes in the early rounds.
However Dogboe’s storm was too heavy for Aristotle to withstand in round seven as he succumbed two straight knockdowns compelling Aristule’s corner to wave the white towel to accept to the royal prospect from Ghana.
After the bout Paul Dogboe, father and trainer of the boxer was delighted with the victory “We have worked hard and very confident of making our country Ghana proud, it’s the best gift we can give them after another peaceful elections. The 22-year-old Ghanaian is likely to face the WBO world title held by Jesse Magdaleno of the United States after annexing the WBO International super bantamweight title as well as the WBO Latino super bantamweight belt with the win.
