SportsObama.com has chanced on details of how the Startimes GPL sponsorship money will be shared for the upcoming 2016/2017 season.
The Ghana FA signed a 10-year-deal with the Chinese TV firm last month with StarTimes willing to pay $17,950,000 for the deal, provide ten artificial pitches and a fully equipped modern OB van to the GFA over the next ten years.
StarTimes will cover the Ghana Premier League, the FA Cup, the National Women’s League, the National Division One League and the Ghana Juvenile League within the ten-year period.
Meanwhile, the financial distributions of the deal for the Ghana Premier League season is as follows;
Total amount been $700,000 (previously $800,000)
1. Agency commission=20% = ,$140,000
2. Bank charges= $21,000
3. Prize Money $30,000
5. Officiating fee(referees)= Gh¢ 577,550
6.Match commissioners= Gh¢ 137,694
7. Camera crew= Gh¢ 108,480.
8. Venue media officer= Gh¢ 23.000
9. Inspection of venues= GhC¢ ,30973
10. Coronation and observers= Gh¢28,700
11. Refresher courses for Referees and Match Commissioner = Gh¢ 66,500
12. PLB Awards= Gh¢135,023
13. 16 participating clubs Each Receive $13,500
14. GFA Administration= $13,500
