Newly appointed Asante Kotoko coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has reportedly made his first change in the playing body of the club by appointing defender Awudu Nafiu as the team’s captain.
Nafiu, who signed for Kotoko as a free agent last year, has replaced Amos Frimpong who has been stripped off his captaincy duties at the club for reasons yet to be known.
Goalkeeper Felix Annan is said to have been handed deputy captaincy position.
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin signed a one-year contract to become the new manager following the sacking of Steve Polack.
Polack, who guided to win MTN FA Cup last year was fired after failing to meet club’s group stage target in the Caf Confederation Cup. The Porcupine Warriors suffered a first-round exit at the hands of CARA Brazzaville of Congo.
