Barely a week ago the music fraternity and the entire nation was hit with the sudden demise of Ghana‘s renowned high life singer Daasebre Gyamenah at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
Frank Mensah Pozo in a phone in interview with DJ Murphy Lee has disclosed that the late celebrated High life artist copied his style of music.
The Ebony award winner told listeners, Daasebre was a good, kind and loving young man who was passionate about his music.
He was always ready to learn and implement things he learnt into his music, Pozo added.
He further went on to disclose, Mr Mark Okraku Mantey then manager of the deceased used to visit the studio where he recorded most of his songs and from there he noticed the “Korkookor” hit maker had copied and used his style of singing into perfection.
“Daasebre and I were good friends, in fact he was a brother”. We were in the studio working on a new song together, Frank Mensah Pozo stated with a heavy heart.
