Dutch Eredivisie side NAC Breda have confirmed Thomas Agyepong will ‘take several weeks’ to recover from the hamstring injury.
Agyepong suffered the injury during the 2-0 win at ADO Den Haag two weeks ago and had to be substituted in the 77th minute.
Early diagnosis revealed the injury is serious and it is unlikely he will return to the pitch anytime soon.
The 21-year-old has battled injuries this term and managed just ten league matches.
Earlier this season, Agyepong was on the sidelines for five months due to a hamstring strain.
He recently returned and helped NAC to take seven points against FC Groningen, Feyenoord and ADO Den Haag.
