Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah has ascribed the fast rising development of compatriot and Columbus Crew team-mate, Lalas Abubakar to good communication.
The duo formed a secured wall at the back for Columbus Crew during their 2-0 victory over Major League champions Toronto FC at the BMO Stadium over the weekend.
In the wake of the game, Mensah was asked the secret of their utmost understanding in the match as they foiled Toronto FC’s impressive attack.
The former Evian Thonon Gaillard guardsman attributed their telepathy to communication.
“I played with him a couple of times in preseason and during trainings. It’s been good,” Jonathan stated in relations to Lalas.
“We communicate in our local language and English as well. We just talk to each other and I let him know the situation around him. Communication was very good.”
Abubakar’s remarkable performance for the Crews earned him a place in the MLS Team of the Week.
