Board Member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Alhaji Akanbi, says he is unperturbed by the recent resignation of the head coach of the club, Yaw Preko, insisting coaches are hired to be fired.
Numerous coaches, including Herbert Addo, David Duncan and Kenichi Yatsuashi have faced the axe of the club’s current management board.
According to the chairman of the Strategic management committee, everything is going on well at the club which contradicts various negative reports in the media.
He said: “If you task someone with an assignment and he is not able to fulfil it, you must let him go, after all, coaches are hired to be fired at anytime.
“And I don’t think our decision at the management have not affected the club in anyway. In football management, if you take a decision and it doesn’t go your way, you take a different one with the hope of ringing change,” he told Asempa fm.
Meanwhile, the management of Accra Hearts of Oak is expected to meet this week to appoint a new coach ahead of the new season.
