President of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Dr. Ahmad has reiterated his desire to transform African football by executing several reforms insisting he is motivated enough to ensure the smooth execution of those reforms before his tenure expires.
Speaking at the ceremony that saw him conferred with a Doctorate Degree by the University for Professional Studies Accra, UPSA in Ghana, the sift spoken Dr. Ahmad expressed his determination to see African football transformed.
“No matter how long I will stay as the head of the Confederation of Africa Football, there will not be a day, week or month without the motivation to strictly carry out the reforms together with my colleagues on the Executive Committee,” Dr. Ahmad Ahmad said at the inauguration.
The 56-year-old Malagasy expressed honour and appreciation done him by the august institution and used that opportunity to consolidate his desire and commitment to see the reforms are duly executed together with his executive committee members.
He believes that the task to reform Africa Football is a herculean one but insist it will go beyond the shores of the continent to help world football should it come to fruition.
“This task that I have started to transform football for the entire African continent with all my team will continue, will intensify and extend beyond the boundaries of our 54 countries.”
He dedicated the award honoured him to the entire Presidents of the Federations of African Football.
“My colleagues from the football fraternity, I accept this honourary doctorate with appreciation, humility and pride and I would like to announce that this recognition is dedicated to all the Presidents of the football federation in Africa.”
