Enigmatic Ghanaian boxer Braimah Kamoko alias Bukom Banku says he expects the gift of a vehicle from President Nana Akufo-Addo if he wins his next fight against Bastie Samir.
Banku in an interview on Joy FM today (May 6, 2017) says he is aware the President is a boxing fan and although he is yet to meet him personally he expects a handsome reward from him when he beats Samir.
The undefeated boxer says he does not expect his decision to back former President John Mahama’s failed bid for re-election in 2016 to affect his relationship with Akufo-Addo because the elections are over and he has quit politics.
Banku confirmed in the interview that he was gifted a vehicle by his close friend former President Mahama for his exploits in the ring.
The boxer turned actor/musician won a new Range Rover Evogue car after stopping rival Ayittey Powers in their second clash in December 2015 in Kumasi.
Interestingly, Banku says he has quit driving ahead of his clash with Samir and has parked all his three cars to focus on preparation for the fight.
He is expected to take on Samir on August 5, at the Accra Sports Stadium on a bill promoted by Alex Ntiamoah Boakye’s Box Office Sports Promotions.
Banku also gave an open invitation to President Akufo-Addo, all former Presidents and Ministers to come watch the fight.
