Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Micheal Osei, says he is focused on building a solid team for the upcoming season and is unfazed about their elimination from the Ghalca G6 tournament by rivals, Hearts of Oak.
Asante Kotoko was dumped out of the Ghalca G6 5-6 on penalties over the weekend by sworn rivals Hearts of Oak, which has prompted the coach to declare that there are certain aspects of Kotoko’s game that he has to improve and that, he is taking adequate measures to solve the situation.
He said on Kessben FM, “I’m not comfortable with the central midfielders and I still need a clinical finisher, so I will say the team is not yet complete.
“I’m focused on building a team in every department of our game which includes the technical aspect.”
He added: “I have submitted some list of players to the new chairman of the club.”
Meanwhile, Kotoko will face Aduana Stars in the third place play-off of the G6 tourney at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Saturday, December 3, 2016.
