Ghana’s U17 team (Black Starlets) will leave for Gabon today ahead of the Africa Junior Championship.
The team will depart the country after meeting with the Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah.
Ghana are hoping to end their trophy draught at the U17 level having last won the competition in 1999.
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin and his side have been drawn in Group A alongside host Gabon, Cameroon and Guinea.
The two-time Champions were disqualified in the last edition of the competition allegedly fielding an unqualified player.
The 2017 Africa U17 Championship kicks off from May 14-28.
