The Queens traveled to Ivory Coast on Sunday ahead of the tournament, which begins on Wednesday. Ghana are in group A with host Ivory Coast, Niger and Burkina Faso.
Adubea, who has been in superb form finished last season top scorer in the Women League and was top scorer in the FIFA Women’s Under-20 world Cup qualifiers.
“Our target is to go and win the competition,” she said ahead of their departure. “So all we asking is for Ghanaians to support us and pray for us too.”
“After the WAFU, we have AFCON to host so the performance we put up at the competition will determine the kind of support we will get from the nation,”
“So we plead to Ghanaian to eep on praying for us and we will go and make Ghana proud.”
The Black Queens will open their campaign against host Ivory Coast, before facing Niger and Ivory Coast in group A. This is the maiden edition of the Womens Cup of nations, Ghana won the male edition in September with the Black Stars B team.
