The national U-17 Women’s football team, the Black maidens are set to hold a demonstration against the sports ministry on Monday for their total neglect in Jordan where they participated in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The team despite not receiving their per diem’s and bonuses during the tournament, still managed to qualify out of a tough group made of former Champions Japan, USA and Paraguay.
The players complained of money to help afford sanitary pads and call credits to be able to communicate with parents back home but to no positive end.
Speaking on Happy FM upon their arrival, Coach Evans Augustine Adotey made a strong case about their per diem and what’s the line of action.
“I will lead the players to demonstrate against the ministry tomorrow.” Coach Evans Augustine Adotey.
The team arrived into the country on Saturday morning after suffering a narrow defeat to Korea DPR in the quarter finals of the competition
