Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea have emerged as the latest Club to be put on sale due to the financial crisis facing the team.
Chelsea joins Medeama SC who today announced their attempt to sell the Club to interested stakeholders.
The former Ghana Champions (Berekum Chelsea) have been hit with financial difficulties for the past four seasons.
The Club’s financier and co-owner, Emmanuel Kyeremeh, abandoned the club some three years ago to settle in Canada due to the consistent pressure on his finances.
After his departure the club’s CEO, Nana Kwame Nketiah, managed the shocks till this year’s end of season in the GPL.
The Berekum-based side are hence ready to shove off the financial load by selling the Club.
The Ghana Football Association’s failure to acquire sponsorship for the League last season saw most of the Club administrators struggling to fund for their respective teams.
