Belgian winger Bruno Massimo has been earmarked as a replacement for injured Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah.
The French-born Ghanaian right back was ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a neck injury in training last week.
And with the purple and white lads missing the services of Hondurian defender Andy Najer and Emmanuel Adjei Sowah, Coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck has turned his attention to on-loan Red Bulls Salzburg winger Bruno Massimo to fill the void left by the former Caen defender.
Appiah made 27 appearances for the purple and whites this season making six assists in the process.
Anderlecht qualified to the playoffs after finishing second in the regular season behind Club Brugge.
Anderlecht will engage KAA Gent in the first match of the playoffs on Sunday, April 1.
