Azam FC striker Bernard Arthur has revealed a botched move to Hearts of Oak claiming the Ghanaian giants were ‘unserious’.
The former Liberty Professionals attacker was billed to replace former captain Mahatma Otoo who left the club four seasons ago.
But the deal fell through despite holding initial talks with the former African champions.
But the attacker has revealed the club were not serious enough to secure his services.
“I was supposed to replace Mahatma Otoo under coach Duncan upon my return from Asec Mimmosa to Feyernood (now wafa) but the deal didn’t go through, So I traveled outside and came back again and I had two options in hearts of oak and liberty but I opted for liberty because of my family” he spoke to Asempa FM.
“I nearly moved to Hearts of Oak in the 2016/2017 league season but hearts of oak Hearts couldn’t meet my demands so I decided to end my contract with Liberty to improve upon the 8 goals I scored the previous season which I had 11 goals, so I was on holidays when Aduana approached but they weren’t that concrete, but for kotoko it never happened.
“I will say Hearts were not serious about signing me. Honestly In my heart I want to play for Hearts of Oak”.
