Fit-again West Ham United star Andre Ayew is looking forward to the club’s clash with city rivals Tottenham Hotspur after the international break.
The Hammers will play as guests to the Lilywhites at White Hart Lane on November 19, and Ayew is expected to have his first experience of the London derby since completing a three-year move from Swansea City in August.
“It’s a big game,” Ayew told his club’s official website.
“It’s a London derby and everybody is going to be ready.
“Some of us will be away working with our national teams, while the boys at Rush Green will get back some energy and release their minds and prepare themselves for that game.
“It is going to be an important game for us.
“I more or less know the team and how we want to play, so now it’s about me getting 100 per cent fit and after that, I can bring my quality to the squad.
“I am very confident and we have great players in the team and great management so hopefully everything will be ok very soon.”
Following a three-month injury layoff, Ayew made his first start for Slaven Bilic’s outfit on Saturday in a 1-1 draw with Stoke City.
The 26-year-old made 34 appearances and netted 12 times for Swansea City last season.
