Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan is optimistic about their chances of qualifying to the next phase of the CAF Confederation Cup encounter ahead of the the second leg clash against CARA Club.
The Porcupine Warriors hold a slender advantage going into the second leg encounter against the Congolese outfit following a 1-0 win at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium last Sunday.
Many have asserted that the Reds campaign in the competition could come to an end in Central African nation due to their failure to win the first leg by a bigger margin despite being rewarded four penalties in the match at home.
But the agile custodian believes they can defy the odds and advance to the second round of the competition at the expense of the Congolese side at their own backyard.
“We are not afraid of them [CARA] in the second league. We have prepared very well ahead of the game and we’ll need our fans support and prayers to qualify,” Annan told Angel FM
“I don’t believe in Juju. The referee had all the penalties, he awarded in first league at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium right.
“As I earlier said, the fans should continue praying for us to make it to next round of the competition.”
The second leg encounter will take place on 21st February, 2018 in Congo.
