Asante Kotoko winger Emmanuel Gyamfi is very optimistic of his side’s chances in Sunday’s game against CARA Brazaville in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors host Congolese giants in the first leg of the preliminary round of the African club competition at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.
“Playing against CARA won’t be easy because they also have the quality and that is the more reason of qualifying to this stage but I have the believe that, no matter the performance they will put up here, we will win massively come Sunday.” Gyamfi told www.garccofkotoko.com
Gyamfi believes they will secure qualification to the next round on Sunday with a massive victory before they make a trip to Congo for the second leg in two weeks time.
“We have to kill the game here because those teams have unscrupulous way of winning their matches at their home grounds . With the various training drills we have passed through and still going through, I am anticipating a massive win here for the 2nd leg to be a mere formality.”
He further stressed that the morale at camp is on the high ahead of the continental showpiece this weekend.
“There are different crop of players in Kotoko now, what happened in the previous season is gone and we hope to correct those mistakes,” he added.
”Morale in camp is very encouraging and on the day we will not disappoint those who will come to stadium to rally behind us.”
