The Accra High Court has granted bail to one Felix Oduro (Kenneth Sam) for allegedly impersonating Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan on Facebook.
Oduro is alleged to have fraudulently benefited from cash and items worth an estimated £2,000 from a Ghanaian lady (name withheld) based in the diaspora posing as Asamoah Gyan on Facebook.
He was granted bail of GH ¢15,000 with three sureties by presiding judge, Justice Abena Oppong.
Present at Thursday’s hearing was the brother of the Black Stars captain, Baffour Gyan, and Business manager, Anim Addo.
The family of Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan after the hearing cautioned the general public against using the Al-Ain captain’s name fraudulently.
They also served a stern warning to people against looking to cash in on the disappearance of Gyan’s musical partner, Castro or risk being hurled before the law courts.
