Former Berekum Chelsea coach Anthony Lokko has advised Aduana Stars to be wary of the threat Algerian side ES Setif will pose to them in the first leg of the second round of the CAF Champions League at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park II.
The Fire Boys advanced to the final phase of the preliminary of CAF’s elite club football competition when they overcame Libyan side Al Tahaddy 2-1 on aggregate.
They have been paired against Algerian giants ES Setif in the final phase of the qualifying round but Coach Lokko, who guided Berekum Chelsea to the group stages of the 2012 competition, has warmed the Dormaa-based side to tackle the first leg with all seriousness to conquer the Algerians.
“They have a good team but must expect a tougher game against their next opponents in the CAF Champions League. That is the way the continental campaign goes and you must be ready to deal with it,” he told Graphic Sports.
“I believe in their coach a lot, who, to me, is one of the best in the country and will be very key in deciding the game over both legs,” he said.
The former Amidaus Professionals trainer urged Aduana to be more clinical against their opponents by taking their chances in the game.
He, however, advised against complacency, which he said, could be a key factor in the tie and expected the Premier League champions to win big at home.
The much talked-about clash is due to come off on March 4.
