Dynamic Ghanaian winder, Andre Ayew is a well known name in France after he wowed audiences with his exploits with Marseille and he looks to raise his stock even further by pushing for a move away to English Premier League runners up Liverpool, a club which he has always referred to as his ‘dream’.
Ayew is waiting for Liverpool to make an offer for him this window so that he could leave the his French employers for a better club. Ayew revealed his passion for the Reds in an interview and Liverpool hope to sign the winger after talks with French international Loic Remy collapsed due to medical issues.
Liverpool surprised everyone last season with their fantastic performance in the Premier League and boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to achieve the same feat this year.
Ayew would be a strong young addition to the Reds due to his intimidating strength on the ball along with his fearsome pace. The Reds have no lack of quality wingers with the likes of Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho among their ranks already but 24 year old Ayew would be able to add another dimension to Liverpool with his pace and strength while occasionally displaying his versatility by shifting into the center of midfield to cover for the team as and when required.
Although all this makes a good straightforward story, Ayew’s wages might just act as the deterrent for this prospective deal. Ayew currently earns a whopping £240,000 a week and providing a wage of such sorts seems unlikely from a shrewd and intelligent Manager like Brendan Rodgers.
