Andre Ayew has made the 10-man shortlist for the African Footballer of the Year award. The winner will be decided by votes of the coaches or Technical Directors of the National Associations affiliated to CAF. The awards gala will be held on Thursday, 7 January 2016 in Abuja, Nigeria.
The former Marseille wideman is well-fancied to land the prize, but faces competition from the likes of Yaya Toure, Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Ayew has been influential for both Swansea and Marseille in 2015, while he also helped Ghana finish second at the Africa Cup of Nations. The winner of the prize will be announced early next year. Below is the full list:
