Leicester City utility man Daniel Amartey has shed light on the team’s style of play while applauding the leadership of captain Wes Morgan.
The Ghanaian is in his second season at King Power Stadium, having joined up from Denmark’s FC Copenhagen in January, four months before the Foxes claimed the league title.
The 21-year-old was in action as the champions handed Swansea a 2-1 defeat on Saturday, a game in which Morgan found the back of the net.
“That’s our strength – the counter attack – and we have to focus on playing one-twos,” Amartey told LCFC TV.
“[Jamie] Vardy has speed, so we have to give the ball to him.
“Wes [Morgan] is strong and he got our second goal. It was a very good goal.
“Morgan is very good when he’s in the dressing room. He talks to the guys and everybody listens to him because he’s the captain.”
Saturday’s game was Amartey’s first start of the season, and second since joining the club.
Leicester, currently ninth on the league log after matchday three, will face Liverpool after the international break.
