Former Board Member of Asante Kotoko, Alhaji Abu Lamini has compared the club’s display in the GHALCA G6 against Bechem United to Barcelona and hailed Manhyia for Dr. Kwame Kyei’s appointment as the new chief executive.
The appointment of Dr. Kwame Kyei as the club’s new chief executive for the next three years late last week clashed with their 3-0 thumping of Bechem United in the first match of the off season GHALCA G6 tournament.
This performance has lifted the club supporters’ hope ahead of the forthcoming season, with some even attributing the win over the FA Cup winners to the timely appointment of Dr. Kyei.
And Alhaji Lamini has echoed the sentiments of their teeming fans and said, “Every Kotoko supporters now habours a smile on his face with the appointment of Dr. Kyei, and not only that but the display of the boys against Bechem.”
“They’re happy that at least there’s going to be a new dawn in the club. It’s been while since I saw Asante Kotoko players play like the Barcelona team, and that alone is great. We pray for him succeed because he’s brought something we’ve longed for as Kotoko supporters and I believe if we can exercise a little bit of patient we’ll reach the promise land.”
