Zambia and Africa football legend Kalusha Bwalya is the latest man to urge Ghanaians to believe and support Kwesi Appiah as he takes up his new job as coach of the Black Stars.
Appiah, has arrived in Accra and will officially start work on the 1st of May in what will be his second term with the Black Stars.
There are games against Ethiopia, Mexico and the United States in the pipeline this June-July to welcome him and test his readiness for the job.
Regardless, Kalusha is of the view that with the right support Kwesi Appiah will be a success story.
“Support him. He is a good coach and impressive human being. All the best” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Pius Enam Hadzide has said they are keen to help Kwesi Appiah to become a success in his second spell with the Black Stars.
“The sports ministry (Government) is ever ready to help coach Kwesi Appiah to succeed as we did to other foreign coaches,” he told Kumasi-based OTEC FM.
Kwesi Appiah is expected to be unveiled in the coming days but the former Al Khartoum coach has already hit the ground running after watching two local games over the weekend- the games between Inter Allies and Liberty Professionals on Saturday and the game between Hearts and Sporting Mirren on Sunday.
