Aduana Stars striker Mohammed Yahaya has implored his team-mates to puch above their weight to claim victory when they square off against ES Setif in the first leg of the final stage of the CAF Champions League on Wednesday.
The Ghana Premier League champions defeated Libyan side Al Tahaddy 2-1 on aggregate in the first round of the qualifying round.
The Fire Boys have been paired against Algerian giants ES Setif in the second round of the qualifying stage.
Yahaya Mohammed, who rejoined the side after a failed stint in Tanzania, has called on his team-mates to pick the sole ticket though he conceded the task ahead will not come cheap.
“We admit they have experience more than us but they started somewhere and that’s the same way we are going to beat them to get same experience and enter the group stage,” the maverick forward told Oyerepa FM.
“We the experienced ones in the team have been speaking to the players that at least we should score not less than 3 goals to make the second match an easy one.”
“We are preparing seriuosly for the match and thank God that I’m fit to play in this match” Mohammed deduced.
Aduana could become Ghana’s first representatives in the group stage of the competition since 2012 should overcome ES Setif in the two legged tie.
The first leg will come off at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park II on Wednesday, March 7.
