Aduana Stars attacker Bright Adjei has shed light on his exploits over the season and reckons he did just enough to earn a call-up to Ghana national team.
The forward, who finished the season as the fifth highest scorer with 12 strikes, made headlines for netting two sublime goals, which won him separate Goal of the Week accolades following global surveys conducted by the CNN.
“I feel very excited that my efforts were noticed by people all over the world,” Adjei told Goal.
“To win against the like of Luis Suarez and Alonso, I’m very happy with that.
“I have had offers and my agent and management are considering a lot of options. I will look at what to do next after the season.
“It’s every players dream to play for his country, so I’ll be very happy to be called to the Black Stars.
“Looking at my performance during the season, I think the coaches and the technical handlers should consider taking me into the team.”
An acrobatic volley against Ashanti Gold on matchday five saw him beat Barcelona’s Luis Suarez, Javier Cortes of Mexican side Pumas and Celtic star Tom Rogic for the first prize in March.
He made the news once again in August, piping Bayern Munich’s Xabi Alonso, Elliot Durell of Chester and Anderlecht’s Teodorczyk to the award following another sublime effort against Wafa on matchday 22.
Aduana Stars, meanwhile, finished second on the league table, two points behind winners Wa All Stars.
