Wa All Stars coach Enos Kwame Adepah claims his side will win the Ghana Premier League title despite succumbing to a 1-0 defeat against Liberty Professionals on Sunday.
Latif Blessing’s first-half strike forced All Stars to surrender the top spot on goal difference to Aduana Stars, who crushed Techiman City 4-0 in Dormaa Ahenkro on same matchday 28.
“Losing to liberty was disheartening, but prior to the game they were favourites. I joined All Stars this season and was briefed with the past records which pointed in the direction of Liberty,” Adepah told Goal.
“But failing to pick the points means our ambitions to win the title is under a little attack. We missed some chances and it amounted to our defeat but for now, all that we need to do is to win the two remaining games especially against Aduana in Wa on Wednesday.”
He added: “We have to go back and prepare for the game against Aduana but I can assure we will still win the title despite dropping to second position on the log. As I said earlier, the league is ours to lose so I will not talk much because talking is cheap.
“We will defeat Aduana heavily to save us from any calculations. We defeated them in the first round and a win on Wednesday means we’ve had better head-to-head to be declared champions before the last game against Sekondi Hasaacas.”
Aduana last won the league title in 2010 and have picked two wins out of the six meetings against All Stars in Wa.
