Businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome has filed a writ at the Supreme Court, praying for a reversal of the decision made on November 16 to have former Attorney General Martin Alamisi Amidu orally examine him.
Filed at the Supreme Court on Wednesday, November 23, Mr Woyome’s writ in effect wants a stay of execution in the ruling, pronounced by Anin Yeboah, JSC.
Mr Woyome had disagreed with Justice Yeboah’s decision, vowing to fight with the last drop of his blood in getting same overturned.
He had accused the Supreme Court of being misinformed by Mr Amidu.
The former Minister of Justice had willfully filed an application to examine the businessman, claiming to expose beneficiaries of the GH¢51.2 million judgement debt wrongfully given the supposed financier of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
A founder member of the NDC himself, Mr Amidu had as recent as Monday, November 21 raised suspicion that President John Dramani Mahama will use his executive powers to get Mr Woyome dodge his examination.
The examination was originally scheduled to come off on Thursday, November 24.
