Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Member of Parliament for Tano South, Dr Louisa Hannah Bissiw has explained why she sent her agents to go for some hospital beds at the Takyimantia Polyclinic in Brong Ahafo.
According to her, she was only sending them to another Polyclinic and that reports that she went for them because she lost the just ended Parliamentary elections to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) were misleading.
In a radio interview on Peace FM Monday morning, she said the beds had been locked up in a container at the Takyimantia Polyclinic for almost two years and that she was only sending them to other clinics in her constituency that needed beds.
According to her, she acquired the beds from Germany with the support of her mother and that after they arrived in Ghana about two years ago, she locked them up in a container and gave the keys to the Administrator of the clinic.
The Takyimantia Polyclinic according her, has been provided with enough resources by government, hence there was the need to re-assign what she acquired personally as an MP to other clinics in the constituency which were in need.
The Derma and Asuboi clinics she claimed had approached her for assistance in the provision of beds and so she sent her agents to go for the beds at the weekend for distribution to the other clinics.
