President of La Cote d’Ivoire Alassane Ouattara has lauded Ghana’s immediate past president, John Dramani Mahama, for the legacy he has left after leading the nation for a little over four years.
President Ouattara, who was the Special Guest of Honour at the investiture of Mr Mahama’s successor, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Saturday acknowledged “the very good collaboration we have had” over the past four years.
Mr Mahama succeeded the Ivorian leader as Chair of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (Ecowas).
“I am particularly pleased for the work achieved together towards the consolidation of peace, security and integration in our sub-region,” the Ivorian leader said in his address at the Black Star Square.
