Vice President Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur was on Wednesday night greeted by numerous supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper Denkyira East Constituency, where a mammoth rally was held as part of his tour of the Central Region.
The supporters of the NDC defied the night to congregate at Dunkwa Zongo to listen to the Vice President, who hails from the Region.
Vice President Amissah-Arthur talked up the achievements of the John Mahama-led government, asking the supporters to vote, come December 7, to keep the government in power.
He said they should not take for granted the victory message of the NDC but to come out in their numbers on election day to vote for the NDC.
He used the opportunity to introduce the party’s parliamentary candidate, Emelia Ankomah, to the supporters.
The party’s Director of Elections, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, who is also a Vice Chairperson, said the message of change being preached by the opposition New Patreiotic Party (NPP) should not be heeded to as change is already happening.
“Do they want to change the good asphalted roads?” he quizzed in local language Twi. “Do they want to change the schools? Do they want to change the hospitals?”
He said that is why local Kumawood star Lil Win has been saying “I can’t think far”.
Mr Ofosu-Ampofo said the next government of President John Mahama will create more jobs since the foundation has now been laid.
