He urged Ghanaians to respect and tolerate the political stance and affiliation of each other, adding that there is no need for us to create violence when choosing political leaders.
Mr Osei Kofi who is also Ghana’s Deputy Chief of staff made the appeal while addressing party supporters and sympathizers at a rally at Ayigya to climax his campaign ahead of Wednesday’s election.
He encouraged eligible voters to come out in their numbers and cast their ballot on the Election Day because it is their constitutional right.
“It is unacceptable for a life to be lost because of an election; therefore, no one should allow himself to be used to perpetrate any crime”, he told the teeming supporters.
He advised the youth not to think of any move that will disrupt the smooth process of the election.
The deputy chief of staff called on the Oforikrom constituents to give him a chance to serve as Member of Parliament and also vote decisively for President Mahama to continue with the developmental projects he has started.
The chief of Ayigya Zongo, Sarki Alhaji Mohammed Bashir also entreated to cast their ballot without in a peaceful atmosphere.
He appealed to the youth especially ‘machomen’ in the area to resist any temptation by any political party to cause violence.
Earlier, the supporters of the NDC in the area embarked on a campaign float to canvass for more votes.
