Outgoing President John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to begin a 10-day ‘Thank you’ and farewell tour across the nation from Tuesday.
The tour will begin in the Upper East Region .
The tour, which is expected to end on Friday, December 30 in the Greater Accra Region, will see the president meet traditional and religious leader.
He will also meet regional and constituency executives of his party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
President Mahama staged an unsuccessful bid for reelection in the last presidential polls.
He was beaten by New Patriotic Party’s Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who contested the 2016 elections in a third attempt.
President Mahama has disclosed that he will take rest immediately after leaving office on January 7.
