NPP Asks Mahama To Concede Defeat

The opposition New Patriotic Party says it is in commanding lead in the 2016 presidential elections and per the results received by the party, there is no way President John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress could be re-elected.

The campaign coordinator of the NPP, Peter Mac Manu told a press conference at about 1:45am Thursday that the party’s flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo is comfortably leading by 54.91% of results from about 23,000 polling stations.

The total polling stations per the Electoral Commission is 2,8992

He indicated that Akufo-Addo obtained 4676,998 votes from the about 23,000 polling stations with President Mahama trailing with 3644724 votes.

“This is the time that we call on our opponent (President Mahama) to concede,” Peter MacManu demanded.
