Former National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Yaw Boateng Gyan says Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has a grand scheme to go on state property-selling spree to settle huge debts he has incurred over the last eight years since trying to be president.
He said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) leader has sold all he has since attempting to be president in 2008 and his prayer is to win this year’s elections to have the chance to sell Ghana’s property to recoup his loss.
Addressing a mini-rally of the NDC at Agona Swedru on Thursday, November 24, Mr Boateng Gyan said Ghanaians should not make the mistake of voting for the NPP flagbearer.
“After recouping what he has lost in the past eight years,” he said in Akan, “he will bring untold hardship on us all”.
He said it is better to allow a young person to be president and, occasionally, seeing him go to an elderly person for guidance and not the vice versa.
He, in effect, urged Nana Akufo-Addo to withdraw from the race for “your grandson” President John Dramani Mahama.
He charged the people to vote massively for the president, having been witnesses to the infrastructural development he has mastermined.
The mini-rally at Agona Swedru was part of Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur’s tour of the Central Region.
