Introducing Mr Osei Kofi to a teeming crowd of students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, President Mahama urged the people to vote massively for the National Democratic Congress and Mr Osei Kofi in the December 7 general elections.
President Mahama praised his Deputy Chief of Staff for what he said is his passion for humanity and dedication to work, describing him as a humble person and the best candidate to represent the people of Oforikrom.
“This is Jonny Osei Kofi, a very humble and hardworking man and once a lecturer of this University. He’s your own man and I strongly believe you’ll vote massively for him and the NDC,” President Mahama said.
Mr Osei Kofi has over the years been on the ground providing developmental projects to the people of his constituency and beyond.
On August 6, 2016, Mr Osei Kofi swiftly intervened to resolve a bad lighting system at the Mampong Midwifery Training School campus when the issue was brought to his attention.
He has among other developmental projects, constructed a bridge at Sobolo and boreholes for the people in the constituency.
Speaking to journalists after his introduction by the President Mahama, Mr Osei Kofi promised to live up to expectation and the trust reposed in him by the NDC should he given the mandate by the people of Oforikrom to represent them.
“I’m indeed grateful to the President for making Oforikrom a point of call on his campaign tour of the Ashanti Region, despite earlier challenges,” he added.
