Egypt and Mali capped a first round of group matches at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations with a goalless draw on Tuesday.
Though chances came the way of the two sides, nothing could separate them at the Stade de Port-Gentil.
The two sides, as a result, earn a point each ahead of their second round game on Saturday.
The major highlight of the match is Pharaohs’ goalkeeper of 24 years, Essam El-Hadary, becoming the oldest player to play at a Cup of Nations, at 44 years.
Group D had earlier been opened on the day by a 1-0 Ghana win over Uganda.
West Ham United’s Andre Ayew scored from the spot to give the Black Stars the maximum points.
With Tuesday’s matches played, all 16 teams at the tournament have been seen.
The attention returns to Group A on Wednesday as hosts Gabon play Burkina Faso while Cameroon lock horns with Guinea Bissau.
