The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has warned the New Patriotic Party to desist from the use of the slogan “ Ghana Must Work Again” because it belongs to them.
This was contained in a statement signed by CPP’s General Secretary, Nii Armah Akomfrah. According to the statement, the NPP has in recent times used the slogan on several occasions hence the call for the NPP to stop using it.
The CPP argues that they first used the slogan during the 2012 general elections, giving them some sort of ownership to the saying in the country.
“In a letter to the NPP’s National Headquarters, the CPP reminded the NPP that the slogan was the title of the CPP Manifesto for the 2012 Election,” the statement said.
The statement further explained that the CPP has officially written a letter to the NPP as a way of cautioning them.
