An Accra High Court presided over by Justice Gifty Agyei Addo has dismissed a suit brought before it by 2016 Presidential Candidate Jacob Osei Yeboah.
Mr Yeboah, the only independent candidate to contest the upcoming elections, was seeking an amendment to the regulation guiding the voter’s register for this year’s elections, CI 91.
He was also seeking an order to compel the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) to delete names of deceased, minors and “undesirables” from the register through a process of exhibition verification.
He ultimately wanted an enforcement of the Political Parties Act.
Mr Osei Yeboah told TV3‘s Selorm Amenyah after the judgement that he respects the decision of the Court.
