The Chief of Gomoa Asebu in the Central Region, Nana Boadu VI has appealed to the government to help construct speed ramps on the highway that passes through the town.
This, he said, would significantly reduce the spate of accidents on that stretch of Winneba-Agona Swedru road.
The Gomoa Asebu chief made the appeal when Vice President Paa kwesi Amissah Arthur paid a courtesy call on him in his palace recently. The Vice President was on a campaign tour to the Central Region to canvass votes for President John Dramani Mahama.
He also mentioned some of the things they needed in the community including a durbar ground or community center.
Vice President Paa kwesi Amissah Arthur donated hundred bags of cement in support of the community center the chief requested.
He also assured the people of Gomoa Asebu that speed ramps would be constructed as early as possible to save lives.
The Vice President further highlighted the infrastructural development executed by the government, and appealed to them to vote massively for President Mahama and incumbent Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central Rachel Nana Appoh on 7th December.
Barbara Serwaa Asamoah who is a Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, urged the electorate to ignore the opposition NPP’s propaganda and repost their trust in President Mahama for a better future.
