A number of sons and daughters of Ghana, headed by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, have come together for the #All4Peace campaign.
This campaign features two short, inspiring films that highlight 22 Ghanaian celebrities each saying a sentence that supports the peace in Ghana, and advocating for harmony in this turbulent election period.
The campaign launched on Monday, October 10, 2016, will feature well-known Ghanaians each day. Celebrities like Ama K. Abebrese, Wiyaala, Stephen Appiah, Asamoah Gyan, and Nadia Buari have already featured in the peace message.
Aside appearances on TV, the campaign also has a radio version, and a social media version, which is composed of portraits of the celebrities with the #All4Peace logo. This has already spontaneously gone viral.
In the interest of making the campaign participatory and allowing all Ghanaians to share in this celebration of peace, Anas has created a Facebook page “Anas4Peace”, where, using a template , everyone can become a part of the campaign.
Today, Thursday, October 13, is the turn of Yvonne Nelson to be followed by Sarkodie on Friday.
“Are you a passionate Ghanaian who believes in our democracy? Do you believe that Ghana is beacon of peace and hope? Be the peace you want to see by posting your picture…join us” Anas Aremeyaw Anas remarked.
Anas told 3news.com ‘Peace must be cherished by all Ghanaians, it’s been gifted to us by our predecessors, posterity would not forgive us if we don’t guide and protect it. The minute we take our relative peace for granted the more danger awaits us.”
He asked all who are interested to contact info@anas4peace.org.
