The president-elect of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, left Ghana on Sunday, December 18, for a 3-day visit to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Whilst there, he is expected to deliver the keynote speech at the 2016 Future of Africa Awards ceremony in Lagos, a statement issued by Akufo-Addo’s Press Secretary Eugene Arhin announced.
Ghana’s president-elect will also pay a courtesy call on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, at the State House, in Abuja.
The president-elect will return to Ghana on Tuesday, December 20, 2016.
Prior to the trip, Nana AKufo-Addo addressed thousands of party activists at the Accra Sports Stadium Sunday afternoon. It was a thanksgiving service after his victory in the December 7 general elections.
